Joshua Daniel Hartnett was born on July 21st, 1978 in St. Paul, Minnesota. After their parents' divorce, their mother moved back to San Francisco. His parents wanted him to go to the same Catholic school they had attended. He had a choice of schools, but they offered to pay only for the school they went to. Josh's aunt persuaded him into auditioning for the lead role of Huck Finn in Mark Twain's 'Tom Sawyer'. With a successful run, Josh later went on to garner roles in such productions as Freedom Riders, and Into the Woods. He then moved to New York and went to SUNY, where he studied acting. He then moved to Los Angeles and within three months, he landed the part on the short-lived TV series, Cracker and film 'Halloween: H2O', with Jamie Lee Curtis. Josh's big break came when he landed the role of Danny Walker in the huge box office smash 'Pearl Harbour' and 'Black Hawk down' it was a big success , making josh very rich and famous.
